Overview
This competition entry created a dynamic, temporary structure that balanced modern fabrication techniques with traditional craftsmanship. The structure consisted of radial ribs that were tied and balanced off of one another with a cable at the center. Each of the ribs were digitally cut and spliced with screws and fiberglass reinforcement to cantilever from its central hub and float at the perimeter.
