Net Zero Energy Projects

When the client wishes to achieve a Net Zero Energy building, Studio NYL is able to employ several different structural strategies and still be cost competitive with traditional single family home construction. We are able to integrate the structure with a high performance exterior envelope by closely collaborating with the Architect and Mechanical Engineer to help lay out rooms to optimize the vertical and lateral load bearing capacity of the SIPs roof and wall panels. Through close collaboration we are able to economize on the systems and work to the SIPs manufacturers’ standard modules while also integrating the MEP systems of the residences.
