The Liverpool Flagship Store is a collaboration of an international team of designers and fabricators. Studio NYL's scope included the more challenging structural elements including the central atrium, rooftop park and pavilions, skylight and exterior skin.  This projects would not have been possible without the use of BIM software to coordinate the complicated geometries of multiple trades.

Lory Student Center

Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado

Architect: Perkins+Will, Aller-Lingle-Massey Architects

The CSU Lory Student Center is a multiphased project with a budget of nearly $70 million. The theatre remodel is currently underway and features carbon fiber reinforcement of the existing structure. Future phases include renovations and additions to the existing structure to add assembly spaces, classrooms, offices and improved circulation.

High Park Mixed Use

High Park is a mixed use development that is currently under construction that his noted by its cantilevered plates and multiple levels of roof gardens. In order to minimize structural floor depth and maximize cantilevers Studio NYL designed a version of staggered truss construction but arranged more like "pick up sticks" rather than the typical orthogonal layout. The largest cantilever is nearly 20 meters.

El Pomar Athletic Center

The project is a remodel and addition to the original 1970's facility that was designed only to serve the varsity athletics programs to better serve the entire student body.  The addition adds an indoor space to aid Club sports, Intramural sports, student lounge areas, outdoor observation of varsity games, as well as creating a new opportunity for structured wellness sessions in yoga, spinning, weight training, and cardio conditioning.

Studio NYL is the consulting engineer on this new theatre and assembly space. We are working with local engineers to create four new theatres and two new outdoor assembly spaces. The most notable feature is the new roof covering. The system was designed using parametric models that were then imported into REVIT and analyzed in two separate structural design platforms.
